Horseriding

Bradley went horseriding today. They did exercises with sticks and tennis balls.

We met Marlise and her kids for lunch at Lemon Thyme Cafe in Honeydew today. I can't possibly choose one pic, so I've chosen my favourites.

Playing in the snow at Zoo Lake

I can't possibly only choose one pic today, these are my favourite photos. We had so much fun playing in the snow.

Tea

I went to Crabtree and Evelyn at the Design Quarter for tea this morning with my mom, Elaine and Robyn. Their scones are to die for!
This was the table decoration. It's a tiny tea place, with only 9 tables. Each table has a teapot with flowers in it on top of a hatbox. And each table's style is different with mismatched chairs.

Elaine came for tea this afternoon with Robyn. She fed Connor for the first time :-) Look at him holding her hand.

Windmill

We went to visit MIL today. This windmill is in the garden. I've always liked it, I think because it's not perfect.

My first "rural ruin"

I'm strangely excited about this photo. LOL!
I joined a LJ community a few months ago called rural_ruins and everyone posts photos of, well, ruins. I've never had anything to post on the site before. YAY! Hopefully it qualifies.

This building is on the farm that Bradley rides at. It apparently used to be the owners playhouse when she was little. The stairs are even gone now (thankfully or else the kids would be trying to climb in). It now houses a water tank.

Reading

I got to the end of the day and realised I hadn't taken a photo! So, here's the book I read Bradley this evening and the blanket he was cuddling under.

My little buddha

Bradley never liked the bumbo chair, but Connor will sit in it. Not sure how long he'll fit though, because he's so big. LOL!

The gloop

Twice a day, I now have to cook this "gloop" to add to Connor's bottles to thicken the formula because of his reflux. It's such a pain!

Confused rose bushes

My rose bushes are very confused after the rains we had a few weeks ago, and they started blooming again.


I have no idea what kind of rose it is. It was in the garden when we moved in, and it has survived a "Jeanette" transplant ;-) (I moved all the roses within a few weeks of moving in LOL!)

Fathers Day

I took loads of pics today, and really struggled to choose just one.
This is my dad with Connor - my dad was busy trying to get Erin to smile (Bradley and Connor's baby cousin)

White dove

There are 4 white doves that are often in the garden. They are quite tame. This one let me come quite close to it before Bradley gave it a fright and it flew away.

Connor and the lizards

Bradley's favourite toys are his plastic animals. He has masses of them.
This afternoon after his bottle, Connor was staring at Bradley playing with the lizards, so he got introduced to them all.

First cereal

Elaine met Connor today

My sister Elaine is Connor's godmother. She's been studying in Sweden for the last 6 months, and came home today.

Statue

This small statue is in my lounge. I have 2 of them for balance. They were silver when I got them, but they've tarnished now - I still like them though.

Day 5

The feather duster tree in our garden with the late afternoon sun shining on the top leaves - which are yellow as they were hit badly by the frost we had a couple of weeks ago.
The leaves and small branches are starting to drop and are making a mess of the garden.

Day 4

Today at horseriding the wind was bitingly cold, so Mike kindly moved the bench across the road for us to sit in the sun while we watched the kids riding.
The pic was taken from quite far so that you can see the bench and the horses etc.

This bird comes to our garden every day. I need to ask my mom what type of bird it is.
