I am a working mom with 2 beautiful boys, Bradley is 5, and Connor is 1.
This was the challenge - take a photo a day for a whole year! The first photo was taken on the 6th of June 2007, and I did it!
And because I'm a sucker... and I'm actually enjoying the challenge... I'm continuing with it.
I've finally got a DSLR, courtesy of my husband, so from the 31st of May 2008, all photos are taken with the Canon 350D.
Before that, I used a Sony H5.

Lovely photos!
That bird is very striking, I asked my DH (he's a bird watcher of sorts)and he said it is from the Roller family, probably a broad billed roller but he's not 100% sure.
Sorry to hear it was your last day of maternity leave :(

I really enjoy your photos, your eye for composition is really something!
I'm not much of a bird watcher, but I'm pretty sure that last one is a Kookaburra, which is a type of KingFisher.
