Skywatch Friday - Cranes at dusk

Cranes at dusk

I took this from the balcony outside the office this evening. Yes, it's an evening shot again. I've been so busy at work lately, and haven't been at home during daylight this week really.

Even though I like the colours in the sky at the moment, it's disturbing that the colours are mostly due to the smog in the city!

Check out Tom's blog for more skywatchers.

Ah, the quiet that sunset brings!

Yes, but you made the most of that smog and got a gorgeous photo!

It’s a very cool shot. I too have a photograph a day on my blog. I like the challenge of finding some to photograph every day.

The city rises up as the huge machines lift.

Great capture, soon this skyline will be forever changed.

A really interesting shot but like you said a shame about the smog.

What a crisp, sharp shot with beautiful pastel sky.

I think the smog add so the the atmosphere. Great shot.

After reading your title, I got a chuckle when I saw the photo. Of course, I was expecting birds! Nevertheless, this is an effective shot of a view that is, no doubt, improved by dusky light. Well done.

I had to smile - I was out today and took a photo of a crane on my way home that I had seen thinking of a potential Skywatch!

Awesome images - I like the tone of the shot.
Sadly, most of the color we attribute to beautiful sunsets and sunrises is due to what's in the air.

the light in this is so stunning, and the way it picks up red on the cranes. Wow, there are cranes everywhere, things really are going up fast there, I am amazed there is still any land to build on!

That is so cool! I love cranes. Seriously. It must be my inner five year old boy. Which is odd, as I'm a girl, and 33, but you get the idea. :)
