Macro of an iris

I finally played with the remote switch that I've borrowed from Tanya.  It made quite a difference with the macro shots, but I found that the lens still shook slightly... it might be the tripod that's not sturdy enough.

It's been such a mild winter, that the garden is starting to bloom already. It's so nice to see colour in the garden again... but I'm sure we'll have another really cold spell... it's too early for Spring.

I am in awe, this is such a lovely picture, I really love the detail, and the color, purple is my (most) favourite color! But I love all of your pictures, they're amazing!
I will be back for more of this!

Irises are one of my favorite flowers. This color -- this photo -- is lovely.

Have you got your tripod set securely so every leg is solid on the ground and your bubbles are level? AND do you have all the different adjustment levers tightened down where you want them? I once forgot to tighten the swing arm and ruined what should have been a prime shot.

Ack! I just came from the blog of a new photographer. I'm certain YOU don't need my tips. Sorry.

That is an amazing close up and incredibly vibrant colors. :)

Great shots! When I do macro I have to lock up the mirror to eliminate all of the shake along with using the tripod and the remote. You have very nice photos and a great eye along with some post processing skills to boot. Nice all around!
