A study of an arum lily

I love taking photos of Arums, and they're looking so lovely in my mom's garden at the moment.  I took these with an ISO setting of 1600 because they were taken at sunset today, which is why the background is slightly grainy.

This one was taken with the flash, and I quite like the effects of the shadows.

I'm fiddling with my actions again, I'm a bit tired of the black frames.

Such great shots! You've captured the white so well (which is really hard to do oftentimes). I love how I can see the details.

Lilies are one of my fav flowers. At our old house I had a garden with them in, but for 4 years now since moving I have been struggling for them to grow at the new place.
The Tsitsikamma is a great place to see them grow gigantic.
Great pics (as always)

I can't tell if the background is grainy or not...maybe it's my monitor. However the eye is drawn to the flower first, which is lovely and all we really want to see anyway. :)

I have a heck of a time photographing white. And these are so striking and perfect the background doesn't matter and barely seems to exist.
