I tried to take the same photo that I did with the Purple Iris. It doesn't work as well. The iris is not actually yellow, it's more beigey - but the flash makes it this colour. This was taken in my garden.

Simply gorgeous. How on earth do you find the time to work, be a mom and cultivate such beauties in your garden? :)
Nice picture. I have given up trying to photograph Irises, because they end up looking like anything but Irises. Maybe it's because I try and do it when the south easter is blowing. Not a good idea.
I am a working mom with 2 beautiful boys, Bradley is 5, and Connor is 1. This was the challenge - take a photo a day for a whole year! The first photo was taken on the 6th of June 2007, and I did it! And because I'm a sucker... and I'm actually enjoying the challenge... I'm continuing with it. I've finally got a DSLR, courtesy of my husband, so from the 31st of May 2008, all photos are taken with the Canon 350D. Before that, I used a Sony H5.
