I've been trying to find a place to get a clear shot of the Joburg skyline for days. Silly me, all I had to do was look out of my bedroom window! I could have zoomed closer, but I like the height of the neighbours palm in the photo too.
Great places for the skyline are from Troyville hotel, & along the William Nicol, coming over one hill after Main Rd, before Bryanston shop centre - you get Jozi skyline & sandton skyline...one day I need to get a photo of that... with the widest angle lense!...or is that coming over Beyers Naude?? I think both.
I am a working mom with 2 beautiful boys, Bradley is 5, and Connor is 1. This was the challenge - take a photo a day for a whole year! The first photo was taken on the 6th of June 2007, and I did it! And because I'm a sucker... and I'm actually enjoying the challenge... I'm continuing with it. I've finally got a DSLR, courtesy of my husband, so from the 31st of May 2008, all photos are taken with the Canon 350D. Before that, I used a Sony H5.

I like it too, Jenty...I mean the palm tree in the foreground, it makes a nice frame and a great contrast to the skyline.
Great shot!
Thanks Susanne
Gorgeous pic, and yeah, the palm works.

Hmm, maybe I should take a drive to William Nicol then. Thanks for the visit
It's an awesome photo Jeanette and I like the palm to the side, it adds character.
You really have quite a view from your bedroom window...nice :)
it's a stunning shot!
Beautiful shot, the palm does give it a nice perspective
Wow that's a stunning bedroom view! I think only a view of Table Mountain would beat that ;)
i like that the "big city" is dwarfed by the tree, sort of 'mother nature puts it all in perspective' kind of idea!! hehe
