Photohunt: Metal

photohuntersbz9

Once I actually thought about it, there were a lot of things I could have taken photos of for this theme. Can't wait to see what everyone else has this week!

I dragged Lance and the boys with me this afternoon to find something out in the countryside to take a photo of. And all of them thought I was a bit looney when I asked him to stop next to this fence post, but I think the photos turned out OK ;). This was taken in Muldersdrift, just outside Johannesburg.

Makes me think of confinement, though the area behind the wire looks very vast. Good hunt!

That is a very good photo. I like that the field in the background sort of blures. I am thinking this is barbed wire fencing and wondering what kind of animals are kept in the fence.

Barbed wire is an important piece of metal in our part of the world! I guess you might say it tamed the American West.

I checked all your pictures and my next question was: what kind of camera is she using. Then i browsed your site and learned you are using a P&S! Wow! But you take really good pictures! I just bought myself a Canon 400D and I was not very succussful (yet, i hope).

Happy Easter! Take more pictures! I will link you in my page to check on your daily pictures...

Reminds me of the South African farmers repair kit - "blou draad en en n draadtang". My father effected many a repair to his cars in years gone by, with wire carefully removed from a roadside fence :)
