Abandoned bucket

photohuntersbz9
We came back today from our holiday in Shelly Beach, on the Kwazulu Natal south coast.  It's not the best time of the year to go there  ito weather, but it was a good break.
I've taken SOOOO many photos that I don't actually know where to start.  In fact, I think I'll post some every day for the next week. Hopefully one or two of them are going to be good enough for Camera Club this coming Wednesday night.
I thought this one covered this week's photohunt quite nicely.  The theme is colourful, and the colours of the bucket that the kids were playing with really stands out against the colours of the beach and the sea.

Hermanus

photohuntersbz9

The theme for Photohunt today was Clouds. This the best shot of clouds that I got today, isn't it a magnificent photo of Hermanus!?
We went there today to visit my grandparents (yip, all the way from Johannesburg, just for one day!). I'll show you more photos tomorrow, not now, I'm too tired :)

Photohunt: Bright

photohuntersbz9

We went to Lemon Rose Farm again today, and I managed to get some shots of the guinea fowl that wander around the place. I love the BRIGHT blue on their faces, because it contrasts so nicely against their body feathers.

Photohunt: Water

photohuntersbz9

When I heard the rain outside this morning, I was pleased (even though the weather is freezing now)! I'd figured out how to get my water shot of the day.

I'm still struggling with the camera, I'm using the manual functions now. But I think this is the best photo I've taken ito light this week. I did have to sharpen it though, I should have used my tripod.

Photohunt: Emotion

photohuntersbz9

It started off as a good idea. Bradley got his hair cut this morning and was a willing subject for photos. So, I asked him to show me happy, sad and cross faces.

I'm such a bad mom for actually posting this, he's not going to be happy. Hee hee.

Photohunt: Shoes

I bought Connor his first set of crocs last weekend, and he looks so cute in them. So, this theme was perfect for me :) to show off his crocs and show you just how busy he is!

Photohunt: Candy

I didn't take these today, because I was away (see my previous post). I thought of this moment as soon as I remembered what the theme was today!

Connor's first taste of Easter Eggs in February this year.

"Hmmm, yummy!"

"I wonder if I can stuff the whole thing in my mouth?"

Photohunt: Free week

There is no theme for the Photohunt this week, so I decided to share the party pics from the kids party we attended today in a Maize Maze field.

The kids had a ball (especially the boys, some of the girls got a bit edgy in the maze). They were split into teams and had parents accompanying them through the maze. The parents looked quite parched and tired when they finished, LOL, but the kids were still raring to go. It took more than an hour for them to complete the maze.

Photohunt: Sign at Ushaka

We took the kids to Ushaka in Durban to see the aquarium and dolphin show on one of the non-beach days this week (it was too cold). As soon as I saw this sign, I knew this would be my post for today :)

I just have to show you more of the place, so here are some photos from the aquarium and the show.

Connor watching the ray. He absolutely LOVED the aquarium, but was a bit bored with the dolphin show. He was in awe of all the fish, especially the big ones.
The shark tank
... and the dolphins. This is always my favourite part :)

I had considered using this as my sign post too. The whole aim behind the show is environmental awareness.
