Picking rosemary

Connor loves picking flowers, and this evening my mom was showing Connor the little flowers on the rosemary bush... so he had to pick some for us.

Love Thursday: Who wants a hug?

How cool is this? Shutter Sisters has a feature all about me today!!
Well, not quite, but they used my photo for their Love Thursday post. LOL!

And here are some more Love themed photos that I took this evening when I picked the boys up from my mom's house.

Give me a hug!

As seen by Bradley

Bradley loves using my camera, and this afternoon he took it from me; and declared that he was going to take pictures for my blog today. So I HAD to use them tonight :)

They're not half bad, considering he's only 5!

He was so cute following Connor around. He was also using the zoom for the first time, so I was surprised to see so many of his shots were in focus.

Hmmm, that lid looks interesting... what's not shown here is 5 seconds after this was taken, Connor lifted the lid and put it in his mouth - with ants on it!
Look Bradley... pretty flowers

Skywatch Friday #3 - Sunrise in Ballito

I must confess, these are not my shots. My husband had to take my camera to work today, so I asked my mom to be my guest photographer... I knew she had plenty of sky shots to choose from.

These shots of the sun rising over the sea were taken in July 2007 in Ballito on the Natal north coast in South Africa. Looking at them, just makes want to go to the sea again!! I can't wait to go on holiday next Friday :).

Dale and Tina in Jo'burg

The last time I saw my cousin Dale was in 2002 in London! So, his visit in Joburg this weekend was a BIG family event. My mom put on a huge spread for breakfast this morning... muffins, croissants, fruit, egg, bacon, sausages, tomato, fresh juices... the works! It was yummy!

Hopefully, it won't be 6 years before I see him again.

Face skittles

When I got to my mom's this evening, Bradley says with a big smile "Mom, we can take some photos of the face skittles".
That had us confused for a while, until we got the meaning. LMAO! At least he was trying to help me find a new subject.
Then when we tried to correct him, he just couldn't say babushkas, so he just called them "bushies". He had fun unpacking them for the photo, and then putting them all together again. Are they beautiful? My dad brought them back from his last work trip to Russia for my mom.

Christmas Day

The day started really early today... Bradley woke up at 4am!! LOL! It was fantastic to have his excitement in the house!
I can't possibly choose only one for the day, so here are a few...

My parents and their grandchildren. We don't get together very often so we always make use of the opportunity to take family photos.

The Wazooka's were a hit today, 5 minutes after this was taken, CJ and Bradley were chasing each other around the garden and getting very wet!

CJ - she's my children's cousin's cousin :)
Connor

I just had to add these 2 because they were so sweet. Erin trying very hard to put the ball in her mouth, and then succeeding at it :)

Another year to create

"She sells sea shells...

... on the sea shore"

Well, not really. My mom picks up sea shells every time they go to the coast on holiday, and she has now got a basket full of them on a table. Bradley used to love rifling through them when he was younger, and today he was very excitedly showing me all the hermit crab shells that he could find in the basket (when we went to Ballito last year he got great pleasure out of chasing and catching the hermit crabs).

"I am the music man...

... and I come from far away
What do you play?
I play the piano
the pia-pia-pia-no, the pia-no, the pia-no...."

That was the song my mom was singing to Connor when I met her for coffee this morning at Lifestyle. I took a day's leave because Beauty's BIL (she's Connor's nanny) was killed yesterday and she couldn't come to work this morning.

"...the pia-no"

"I play the drums..."

And then my mom took a rare photo of me and Connor (he was 8mths old yesterday)...

I hate using the flash, but it was getting too dark. It definitely wasn't as dark as it looks in the photo.
