Bradley on blogging and some other stuff

Bradley is obviously trying to understand this blogging thing.
When I got to my mom's this afternoon, I moaned a bit to him about having to find yet another photo, so he says to me...
"Mom, you have to, you need it for your blog. Your blog needs lots of photos, and you have to do it every day"
My poor child :) This has been a part of his life too for the last 11 months. Yip, I've been going for 11 months today on the photo-a-day lark.

One month left of the year! I never thought I'd get this far.

So, I thought that I'd show you my most popular posts according to Amatomu. I get hits on these posts every single day, and every month the stats show that these are the most popular... it's just the order which might change slightly (except for the first one... that's ALWAYS on top).

  1. Robyn's 21st (do a search on Google Images for Party Girls, and I'm on the first page, much to the amusement of the girls in the photo ;) )

  2. Bunch of Red Roses

  3. Emmerentia

  4. White Lily

  5. JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge 2008

  6. Bradley on air pollution

  7. The pirate ship in Fairlands

  8. Two week old baby girl

  9. Failed Squatter Camp Photos

  10. Rain Spiders nest

Now, they're not all the BEST photos I've taken, but clearly google likes them :)

And, guess what... I won something again. I entered a competition on eLuckypacket, and I won!! YAY! 2 cushions from Side Attraction 3. I'm going to pick them up from their Rosebank studio when I get some time this week. How cool is their stuff? I love it!

Arums from the outside

Happy birthday my big boy!!
I decided not to show you more pics of Bradley because there've been so many that I've posted lately... so instead... I took some pics of the arum lily that has started flowering in my mom's garden. I've taken pics of arums before, but this time thought that taking shots from the outside of the flower would be interesting.

The last one is, by far, my favourite. I love the focus that's just in the middle of the photo.

Bradley's 5th Birthday Party

We had Bradley's Ben 10 Party today at home. Thankfully the weather played along, and it didn't rain. And the jumping castle I got was an absolute hit with the kids and adults alike. And the cake was just yummy!!

Bradley's idea of posing :)
The MASSIVE jumping castle! The kids all loved it. Normla

Connor just would not get off it! And managed to get to the top of the slide and slide down it... on his own... my dad found him in the ball pond on the other side.Skylar pushing Connor up the hill
Carmen looking a bit uncertain on the seesaw :)

Andrew's elusive smile. This child normally hides away from the camera, and he actually posed for me today.

And another rare smile, this time from Josh.

And there were tears... everyone was apparently picking on Ethan
Erin and granny on the swing
The Ben 10 cake was absolutely delish!
Oh and if you're looking for my weekly winners they're on my other blog...

Special moments with papa

I was going to keep some of these for my Weekly Winners post this week, but I can't resist showing you them now.
My mom is in Cape Town at the moment for my grandmother's 80th birthday, and my dad came for lunch today. I made the most divine thai green curry... which really worked well considering the crappy weather here today.
I couldn't resist taking photos of him playing with the kids in the garden.

Skywatch Friday #6

I took this shot of the sky yesterday at 5pm anticipating a beautiful sunset, but within 15 minutes the sky had completely clouded over, so I couldn't get the shot I wanted.
And then today, we had SUCH a miserable and cold day as a cold front hit Gauteng. This shot was taken at the same time... the poor sun trying it's best to peak through the clouds.

He licks everything!

I took the boys to Lifestyle this afternoon to play (and so that I could buy a few plants to fill the garden). I haven't taken them there in a few months, and Connor is just the right age now to enjoy the animals and the various rides that are on offer there. He absolutely loved the train ride, it's a pity that I didn't get a photo of that!
I'm glad to see that they've upgraded the animals enclosures a bit, and there's actually grass for them now! And thankfully, they've also taken away the animals that looked a bit worse for wear.

LOL, don't you just love the tiptoes! He had to try and peer at the ducks over the pole.
Pointing the animals out for Bradley... tongue ready....
...to lick... ewwwww! Everything has to be tasted at the moment.

Three Corners - April

It's time for April's Three Corners challenge.
I set the theme for this month, which was "Seasons". I thought it would be a good one with me being in Autumn and Lindy and Corey being in Spring at the moment.
I thought at first that it was easy, but I had such a hard time choosing which photos to show you today. You've only seen one of them before, the other 2 I kept for this challenge.

Autumn in the Freestate

The next two were taken at Emmerentia Dam on Sunday.

Lindy and Coreys' posts are already up, so check them out too. You can also check out our Flickr group.

I can't wait for next month's challenge now... Corey is deciding on a theme for May.
