Skywatch Friday - Just after the sun set

I love the colour of the sky as it sets over the west of Johannesburg.
I stopped tonight in a shopping centre parking lot to take this shot over Radiokop. I just missed the sun setting, which is normally a big red ball from this angle, I'll try get there in time next Friday night.
After the sunset

Oh no, cried blog world … he’s back!

But guess what, I’m glad I decided to make a comeback.
If I didn´t rejoin SWF I would never have the chance to see this great photo!

Greetings from Portugal from someone who once lived in Pretoria!

Thanks to you and others, I get a big lift out of trying to outdo myself and post things that may surprise some and make others laugh a bit and most of all make lots of people aware of things that might not know much about.

When somebody actually takes the time to write a comment about my work and what I do, that to me is the biggest gift a person can give another. It is a smile on greeting, it is a welcome handshake, and it gives me and my family some hope that the dementia farm is still down the road.

You, yourself, are an inspiration to me. I come to say, thanks for taking the time to photograph things of interest and great beauty. Without that, blogging would be about as exciting as a wart on the end of my nose.

And rest assured, when you do visit, I will always try to visit your blog, in return, and leave a comment on your blog. I might not think your photography is ready for the big masterpiece award, but it got my attention.

Sincerely,

Abraham Lincoln

THAT is a beautiful sky! Wow, what a marvelous glow at the horizon.

I've seen a lot of skies similar to that one, but very seldom with such a soft glow. Jenty, you've done an excellent job with that capture.

Also, I like the very narrow DOF you used with the flower photo: detail and softness all at once.

BTW, did you get your files?

Hello Jenty
I wonder if you can give me some advice
I have a blog and am wanting to make it as big as yours, I have no idea how one does that ~ have tried a few different looks but the photo's remain small, although my setting is on LARGE...
Can you go over and see the difference between yours and mine then let me know how I can change it...If you dont mind...
I have been struggling for a while now, my suggest I ask you!
many thanks.
