I haven't had a very good photo week this week, I really need to get stuck into the manual and figure out how all the settings on my camera work.

I tried all week to get a photo of the boys for a father's day present, but only Bradley was keen on posing.

Lotus's blog has plenty more Weekly Winners, check them out ;)

Those are nice! Your children are so gorgeous!
As for manual. Just. do. it. You'll get some yucky shots, but just play with it. You'll get the hang of it. :)
What a wonderful set of shots!
The best advice I got for learning to shoot manual on my camera was to put the settings on manual and NEVER take it off, no matter what. It really forces you to learn.
And you'll be glad for the delete button... :-)
You don't need to read a manual your pictures are all great !
The kids came out great - both the posed one and the laughing one - I bet Dad will love them!
Awesome photos!! Great job capturing the tackle.
I know nothing about anything beyond point and shoot and that all of your pictures below (and always) are just awesome.
Beautiful photos!
I've had my DSLR since November and I haven't cracked the manual yet. I really gotta get on that!
Wow. Just. Wow.
Your photography rocks, sister friend!
Gee, Jenty, if that was a bad week your good weeks must be out of this world! You are an amazing photographer.
Beautiful pics hon :)
So...you say you didn't have a good week with your photos, and those I just saw were from last week?
Mine, I better come back when you have a 'good' week, because these pictures were just beautiful!
Thanks for dropping by, and for your words. Sure was a 'different' Father's Day this year!
My post...
Pretty pink rose! When you're done with that manual, could you give me the Cliff notes version? Of course, I would be happy to take photos as good as your "bad" ones.
These were beautiful - the colors reall popped! When I started to shoot in manual, my biggest obstacle was always getting metering down. Make that IS and not WAS! :)
your photos are stunning - I love them all ...you have a talent manual or not.
Not a good photo week? It surely doesn't show :) I love all the beautiful faces and flowers!
jump into manual. You can do it. :)
what mode are you shooting in now?
love the leaf...and the one of connor laughing. tee hee
Jenty, you are the queen of the candid portrait! How about submitting "tackled" to your photo club? The balance of colours, action, clarity, capturing a special fun moment, it is a great pic. I also would be interested to hear the judges comments on the one of Bradley crying (and yes, you are right, he will probably kill you for that when he is older hehe!!!!!) but it is a startling, candid and clear shot. If you do submit tackled, I would probably just crop a bit tighter on the left and the top to reduce the slightly distracting darker corner in the background. But your portraits are amazing, I've seen lots over the past year that would be winners! (Thinking back to your orphanage visits, I think there were some exceptional ones amongst that lot too)
