Skywatch Friday - Pampas grass at sunset

I stopped on the way home tonight to take these photos, in a vlei close to my mom's house. The sky was just too beautiful, and I couldn't resist taking some shots of the pampas grass against the sky.

The colors are beautiful, they remind me of watercolors. I especially like the second picture. My contribution is a solar halo. I invite you to come see. -- Margy

About the macro lens - as you know I don't know what the one I used on the roses was, but I'll try to find out. Having said that, I prefer my brother's macro that I borrow sometimes. It's incredible. It's a Tokina Macro 100 F/2.8 Pro-D. I would highly recommend it. My June 8 through May 31 posts were all shot with it (except the balloons). That means... the orchid, the sushi, all of the sandwich post, the yellow flower in Csilla's hand, the red poppy, the dandelion and the bee. I love that lens. It's on my wishlist!!

Beautiful and peaceful shots.

Sorry I am late visiting for Sky Watch Friday. I had a doctors appointment today and then some other errands to take care of.

Enjoy your weekend.

Beautiful shots, such great perspective. I think I like the middle one the best but they are all good.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.
